Owen meets Landon & Tait

Owen had a weekend full of playdates with other babies.

First we went over to my friend from high school Michelle's house.  She only lives a couple of blocks away and has a handsome 4 month old boy, Landon.  Owen would just stare at Landon who was playing in his jumpy toy.  Then they both fell asleep on the floor while the mommies caught up.  It was fun to see how Owen will be in another couple of months.  We have another playdate planned and are looking forward to many more to come.

The mommies and their boys

Owen is trying to take that pacifier I think.....we will have to teach him to play nice already.

We finally found a free day to visit Katie & Jason and meet baby Tait.  The boys had a great time "playing" and it was great to catch up with the new parents.  We are looking forward to watching Owen and Tait grow up together....hopefully they are a little less rowdy then their mommie's were!

I love this picture!  Such cuties!

For those of you that know Katie and I....there is quite the height difference....check out Owen and Tait's feet....so funny!

Owen and I made a trip to visit Daddy at work and go out to lunch last week.  We had fun introducing Owen to the ACE communications group.

Lots of Love

Another busy weekend!  We are very excited to be watching the Olympics, all of us fell asleep during the opening cermonies though.

Saturday Ryan and Kelly came over to visit us, they are about to have a little girl anyday now, we can't wait to meet her!  Good luck Ryan and Kelly, you two will be great parents!

Owen attended his first kid birthday party.  Our friends Chad and Natalie's little girl Erin turned 1, we had a blast!  Owen loved watching the kids play around and snuggling with all the ladies that wanted to hold him.  It was also a celebration for Chad and Natalie making it through the first year of parenthood, so it was a pretty late night.  It was nice for mommy to have some adult interaction.  Owen even slept in an extra hour and a half  (thank goodness!).  He really is the best baby.

The Birthday Girl!

Proud mom and dad with their little girl

I am really lucky to have so many Valentine's in my life.  My mom has allways made every holiday very special for her family.  She spoiled Ethan and I with treats and beautiful cupcakes, also something for Owen, which she is bringing over tonight since she was out of town on Valentine's Day celebrating the life of her Aunt Lorrie, RIP Lorrie.

I like to continue the tradition with my son.  Daddy and I picked up some special books for us to read to Owen.  He really likes when we read to him and likes to look at the pictures.

Owen and I suprised Daddy with his Valentine's Day outfit.

My other Valentine's.....Ethan made the BEST dinner for me and followed it with a wonderfully chocolatey dessert.  He is such a great cook and a great husband.  Thanks for making Valentine's Day special for me.  As allways my two girls Nellie and Lucy are such great snugglers and they even were treated extra special.

New things that Owen does:

Owen surprised us a couple of weeks ago and began to roll over from his stomach to his back.  He loves tummy time with daddy.  When Ethan gets home from work they have daddy and Owen playtime (it is soooo cute!).  Owen is getting really good at holding his head up.

He has the biggest eyes

Also Owen has started to find his voice.  He has been cooing so much at the little characters that hang from his bouncy seat and even seems like he is having some sort of conversation with them.  It is nice because he can entertain himself a little and mommy can get a few things done.  It is so much fun when he is interacting with us more.

A Webinger family injury.  Our little Nellie was playing outside and injured her leg on Thursday.  She is still unable to walk on it 100%.  Our vet is not sure if this is the dreaded ACL tear or not.  So, the plan is to have minimal activity for 2 weeks and pain medications.  The first day she didn't want to come out of her crate, but now she wants to be out and be part of the action.  She actually does really well on 3 legs.

She hates being in her crate, but we moved it into the living room so she can keep an eye on us.

We are hoping for the best, poor thing!

First Weekend Solo

Well, I survived my first weekend alone with Owen and the doggies!

Ethan went out of town this past weekend to a cabin.  He did take Friday off to hang out with Owen and I, so we made a trip to see Great-Grandma Esther, she is celebrating her birthday today....Happy Birthday Esther!

Friday evening Uncle Adam and grandma and grandpa Smith came over to keep us company.

Sometimes Owen looks a little bit like ET, we thought we would recreate the movie a little with our little "actor"

Where is baby Owen??

Grandma helped with bath time, Owen just loves taking a bath!  Afterwards Gradma rocked Owen to sleep.  Thanks guys for keeping us company.

With daddy gone mommy was also in charge of exercising the dogs, which is so much fun.  We went to my parents house so they could watch Owen while Nellie, Lucy and I were off on a hike.....it was cold, but very fun.

My funny girls love to pose for pictures!

Another Birthday......Great-Grandpa "Woodshed" turns 79!!!  We had a party to celebrate.  Owen and grandpa had a great discussion about all sorts of things.

Snuggles and a first for Owen

This weekend Owen spent Friday night snuggling with my mom and dad over chinese food, Nellie even got a much needed snuggle with Grandpa too!

Daddy gave Owen his first bottle.  We weren't sure how Owen was going to take to it, but he had no problem, such a good boy!  Now if I can get the courage to leave Owen and have a mommy and daddy night out, we can.  Thanks Owen!

Saturday morning Larry and Paula stoped by for a "baby fix."  We didn't get the camera out, but Owen sure loved cuddling with them.

Since Owen is sleeping so well, yes he is almost 6 weeks old and sleeping anywhere from 6 to 8 hours a night, we had an outing on Sunday as well.  We finally were able to visit our dear friends Bwalya and Tim and their boys Victor and Simon.  It was a wonderful to visit and hang out with the boys.

Such a wonderful family.  Thanks for having us over!

Owen's 1 month pictures mommy took, thanks Bwalya and Tim for the signs ;-)
