Another busy weekend! We are very excited to be watching the Olympics, all of us fell asleep during the opening cermonies though.
Saturday Ryan and Kelly came over to visit us, they are about to have a little girl anyday now, we can't wait to meet her! Good luck Ryan and Kelly, you two will be great parents!
Owen attended his first kid birthday party. Our friends Chad and Natalie's little girl Erin turned 1, we had a blast! Owen loved watching the kids play around and snuggling with all the ladies that wanted to hold him. It was also a celebration for Chad and Natalie making it through the first year of parenthood, so it was a pretty late night. It was nice for mommy to have some adult interaction. Owen even slept in an extra hour and a half (thank goodness!). He really is the best baby.
The Birthday Girl!
Proud mom and dad with their little girl
I am really lucky to have so many Valentine's in my life. My mom has allways made every holiday very special for her family. She spoiled Ethan and I with treats and beautiful cupcakes, also something for Owen, which she is bringing over tonight since she was out of town on Valentine's Day celebrating the life of her Aunt Lorrie, RIP Lorrie.
I like to continue the tradition with my son. Daddy and I picked up some special books for us to read to Owen. He really likes when we read to him and likes to look at the pictures.
Owen and I suprised Daddy with his Valentine's Day outfit.
My other Valentine's.....Ethan made the BEST dinner for me and followed it with a wonderfully chocolatey dessert. He is such a great cook and a great husband. Thanks for making Valentine's Day special for me. As allways my two girls Nellie and Lucy are such great snugglers and they even were treated extra special.
New things that Owen does:
Owen surprised us a couple of weeks ago and began to roll over from his stomach to his back. He loves tummy time with daddy. When Ethan gets home from work they have daddy and Owen playtime (it is soooo cute!). Owen is getting really good at holding his head up.
He has the biggest eyes
Also Owen has started to find his voice. He has been cooing so much at the little characters that hang from his bouncy seat and even seems like he is having some sort of conversation with them. It is nice because he can entertain himself a little and mommy can get a few things done. It is so much fun when he is interacting with us more.
A Webinger family injury. Our little Nellie was playing outside and injured her leg on Thursday. She is still unable to walk on it 100%. Our vet is not sure if this is the dreaded ACL tear or not. So, the plan is to have minimal activity for 2 weeks and pain medications. The first day she didn't want to come out of her crate, but now she wants to be out and be part of the action. She actually does really well on 3 legs.
She hates being in her crate, but we moved it into the living room so she can keep an eye on us.
We are hoping for the best, poor thing!
