We Survived!

Ethan went out of town for a few days for work.  Colin is needing Mommy's FULL attention for sometimes 3 hours every evening which makes taking care of Owen difficult.  Well, giving him the quality attention that he needs/deserves is a bit of a challenge.  Grandma and Grandpa Smith offered to help me with the boys.  So we headed to their house. All I have to say is thank goodness we did!  They were a huge help and the boys and I LOVED our time with them!

The weather wasn't the nicest so we weren't able to take advantage of being outside too much, but Owen did enjoy some rock throwing in the stream, rides on Grandpa's 4 wheeler to check out the cows and some running around the yard.

All set to go shopping with mommy

Owen continues to LOVE walking/hiking

Looking for cows....we didn't see them, but Grandpa and Owen found them the day before.  Owen was excited to see the baby and mommy cow.

Colin enjoyed playing with all Grandma's baby toys.

Grandma took the day off work on Friday.  The weather wasn't the best, so we headed out to go shopping and treated Owen to McDonald's (really all Owen wants there is the "tunnels")  Owen plays great with the other kids and of course has no fear.  Most of the kids in the play area are older then him.  He is such a tough guy.

Owen runs after us every time he comes down

So happy!

Owen rarely wants to take pictures let alone ones with his brother, but I was taking some pictures with Colin and Owen requested that he have his picture taken with his "baby" too!

Brotherly LOVE

My SUPER boys!

My little sweetie

Colin gives this face when he sees his brother.  He just LOVES Owen so much.  It is so sweet to see how excited he gets.

We started off our weekend with Daddy coming home!  We were all very happy to see him!  I'll post more about our weekend later.

Bubbles!

What better to do on a nice day then chase bubbles?  Owen is entertained by this bubble gun we put in his Easter basket for it seems like hours.  It has been pretty windy, so the bubbles fly away very fast.  Owen knows he is not supposed to go in the street, so he stands in the grass and sends the bubbles off with a "Bye Bubbles, Bye"

Bubbles, Ma!

Sweet boy

Why not have a little tummy time outside too!  It was really nice today, so after our morning walk/park trip while Owen was playing with bubbles Colin had a little tummy time play outside.  He was so relaxed by the breeze and the lilac tree behind him that he fell asleep with a big smile on his face.
Not much motivation....

a few seconds later, Colin was in happy baby sleep land

Colin has also been working on these:

Look at those cheeks!

Weekend re-cap

Another 2 posts in 1 day...both the boys are napping....shhhh don't let them know!

Ethan had a work activity that was going to take up most of his Saturday, so the boys (love saying The Boys!) and I headed to my Mom and Dad's for some fun.....we ended up staying all day and went home right before bedtime after Ethan met us.  It was such a nice relaxing day and our little Owen (Toddler Monster) was such a good boy!

Since Owen enjoyed his Easter Egg hunt at G&G Smith's so much.  I thought I made the hunt a little more challenging, but apparently Owen is now the master at Egg finding ;-)

 "EGGS!"

Needed a little help from Grandpa

Whats in there Owen?

Happy Dance after his tractor ride with Daddy

AFter some puddle jumping (didn't bring my camera....darn it!) we found some morrel mushrooms in our front yard.....Daddy went to see if there were any up at the land when the boys were napping, he didn't find any.

Owen wouldn't let them go.

Overall, it was a GREAT weekend!

Easter

This post is a little late.....Our little sweet Colin has earned a new title:  Fussy Bear!  I don't think it is the dreaded C word (colic.....at least I hope not)  I'll talk more about that another time ;-)

Anyways, Easter was really fun with the 2 boys.  Owen LOVED, LOVED, LOVED finding Easter Eggs.  It was so much fun to watch him.  He had the greatest excitement each and every time he found an egg.  It was hilarious.  In fact, last Saturday we hid the eggs again at my Mom and Dad's house and it was just as fun for him.  He could care less if there was anything in any of the eggs.  Colin enjoyed all the extra snuggles!  We had yummy food.....and some candy/treats.

Okay time for the picture dump....sorry it is a little over the top with pictures.

Owen taught Buppa Smith how to play Angry Birds....super Cute!
