Lots of kids

Last Thursday Owen and I met up with some of my dear college friends at Hillary's home.  Thanks so much for opening your home to us to play, and what a great host Hillary was!  It was great to see you all, a little crazy with all the kids.  Times sure have changed!  Here are a few pics that took.

Applefest

Owen celebrated his first Applefest last weekend!

Owen and his buddy landon participated in the Kiddie parade.  This years theme for Applefest was about investing in your community and specifically donating food to the local food shelf.  So, kids were to dress as food in the parade.  We thought it would be really cute if they dressed as Pigs in a blanket....It was so much fun!  The boys were so cute and such good boys too.

The 2 cutest piggies ever!

The boys and the mommies

They sure loved watching all the people.

my smiley boy!

Saturday night Owen spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Smith, so Daddy and I could go to Applefest and celebrate my 10 year class reunion....Yikes!  It was fun to see classmates I haven't seen in 10 years.

Sunday, we enjoyed the Applefest parade.  Daddy and Grandma Webinger were in the parade and Grandpa Smith stayed at our house to watch the Packer game, so Grandma Smith and Grandpa Webinger watched the parade with us.  Owen loved the bands and tractors...he did however fall asleep right in the middle of all the noise.
Good Job Daddy!

Cross country meet/football/hiking......We are loving fall already!

Fall is by far my favorite time of year!  I love the cool mornings, warm afternoons, and the changing leaves.....not to mention the world's best caramel apples!  Apples were my pregnancy craving.  I ate apples by the bags, including many caramel apples.  No wonder Owen's favorite food is apple sauce ;-)

We bought a Kelty backpack carrier since we do a lot of hiking.....thank goodness Owen loves it!   Owen really has made everything we do so much more fun!  Plus the doggies love going on more hikes!  I have even managed to take Owen, Lucy, and Nellie (who has to still be on a leash......which is a struggle for us to say the least!) on a hike all by myself.

Owen LOVES any kind of machine that makes noise and has a steering wheel.  Both grandpa's have lawn tractors.....Owen finds them very cool!

Owen attended his first Crazy Buffalo LaCrescent invitational cross country meet....He started the meet out crabby, but as soon as the running started he liked all the cheering and running around.

The 2 craziest Buffalos at the race ;-)

Checking everything out

It is my turn to wear the hat!

Here are a few pictures from my 29th (yikes!) birthday.....I better make this year count....next year is the biggy!

We celebrated on Sunday....Packer's first game!

We have agreed that Owen will get to choose which NFL team to cheer for.  And thanks to our good friend Zack Owen has both Packer and Viking gear!  Sunday he sure was a cute lil Packer fan though ;-)

Well thats all for now.  Owen continues to be a crazy crawling man and continues to not be too interested in real food.  He will eat some star crackers and a little applesauce with baby cereal, but that is about it.  Let's hope I don't have a picky eater on my hands!  We are looking forward to Owen's first Applefest this weekend!  Happy Applefest!!!!

Labor Day Weekend---Stout Alumni Cross Country

After Owen not traveling the best last weekend, we were a little nervous about how he would do traveling to Menomonie on Saturday for the Jamie Block, Stout Alumni Cross Country Race and picnic.

He was such a good boy the whole day!  We are so excited to take more day trips with him since we know he can handle them.  It did help that the weather was beautiful and all of the days events were outside.  Owen has really become more interactive with us the last few weeks......we are having so much fun with him!

Daddy & Owen before the race....such a smiley boy!

Bella Gilles and Owen....isn't she a cutie!

On our way out of town we stopped by a nature walk and saw some deer, buffalo and ducks.

Owen is officially crawling for about a week....we are chasing him around already.  It is amazing how much they develop in 1 year.  I will post a video later of him crawling.
