December---REWIND, Colin 9 months!

I can't believe that in a little over a month we will be celebrating Colin's 1st birthday....CRAZY!

But before then, lets go back to month 9

~Happy Boy during the day, continues to be fussy at night waking up at least once

~LOVES his food.  Loves most pureed foods.  Have been trying a few table foods, but he gets gaggy.  I hope he isn't like his big brother (the puker!)  Favorite foods include, spinach and pear combos, sweet potatoes, applesauce, loves pumpkin/banana combo too.  Continues to hate peas

~LEarning to crawl, still hates being on his tummy

~Has found his voice and when he wants something he lets us know
.  His cry is SOOOO loud!

~Loves to be snuggled, especially by Mommy.  Is a Momma's boy

~LOVES his brother and smiles when Owen talks to him

~Loves to just have you sit on the floor with him while he plays

~Celebrated his first CHristmas, is a master at opening presents and enjoyed all the visitors and parties

~Got his first cold.  Did better with the head of his bed elevated and a humidifier

~Shakes his head "no"

~Pulls himself up to his knees, especially to look in toy boxes

~Such a happy boy!  Smiles all the time and has the best goofy grins.

~Continues to be an EASY baby (except some nights), Colin goes with the flow and is really laid back.  He is wonderful shopping, at restaurants, at parties, and visiting people.

My handsome little man!

Crinkle nose grin

Food face!  Happy Boy

Helping Mommy decorate

I hate being on my tummy!

I like to squeeze my diaper

I know he is frowning here, but he loves bathtime

More smiles

Colin is very nervous about moving, and pulling himself up on his knees, but he is trying

Loves his big brother!  He loves doing whatever Owen is doing and watches him all the time.  Owen is a GREAT big brother too!

December REWIND, pre-Christmas fun

December was a lot of fun this year.  Owen and I did a bunch of Christmas crafts including salt dough ornaments, stamping wrapping paper, decorating Christmas trees (like gingerbread houses), and painting.  I am sure I am forgetting some projects we did.

We also had a sneaky elf named Karl come and live with us for the month of December.  Owen really got a kick out of it and thanks to Pinterest giving mommy lots of inspiration it wasn't all that much work ;-)

The boys were interested in decorating the tree for about 2 minutes and then they were over it.  Owen enjoyed pointing out all his favorite ornaments and telling us which ornaments belonged to each of us.

What's this?

Hmmmmm, Mommy says don't touch this

Look mom, I got it

Owen was so determined to get the ornaments on correctly

This is the only picture I can find of Owen and his projects, must be on another memory card.  Anyways, stamping plain brown paper brought hours of entertainment for Owen.  I would wrap and he decorated, they all turned out pretty cute.

We also visited SANTA!!!!  Owen was so excited to see Santa.  He knew exactly what he wanted:

1.  A robot
2.  A train for "Baby" (Colin)
3. A present for Nadya and Landon

Owen seriously is such a sweet boy.  We kept asking him for other things he wanted from Santa and he would always say a robot, and presents for his favorite kids.  Such a sweetie.  Landon and Nadya go to Owen's daycare.

Telling Santa what he wanted.  Colin just stared at him.  Niether of them were scared

After seeing Santa, we stopped by Punkin Smith's office and Colin helped her finish up somethings.

Colin was so funny wearing this head set, he went all around Mom's office with it on.  It was pretty hilarious.  He even had his special tie shirt on that day (Thanks Korbmacher's for the shirt!)

December REWIND, Christmas Tree

Multiple illnesses and a teething little man that has been miserable have put a damper on my blogging.  So here we go.....back to December

December we were actually all feeling great.

Every year we go and cut down our tree, it was very sunny....but FREEZING, so I only have few pictures.  The place that we have been going even gives you a horse drawn ride.   Both boys thought it was great. They loved watching the tree shaker and hiking around looking for the perfect tree.

Owen really got into finding the right one and when we would suggest one that Owen didn't want he would give us his usual response when he doesn't like something "No, that one is too hard"  Why too hard?  I don't know.  Owen also liked cutting the tree down.

Witer parades

Owen loves a good parade.  We were  lucky enough to take in 2 parades this winter.  We celebrated with the Rotary Light Parade on the day after Christmas (FREEZING!) and "Christmas in La Crescent" with the holiday train.

It was so cold for the Rotary Light parade (the temperature dropped 30 degrees from Thanksgiving Day....here comes winter!)  Colin snuggled in with Buppa and Punkin Webinger while The Smith's and Ethan and I braved the weather for the parade.  Owen loved all of it, the parade, the fireworks, turning the lights on in the park (AWESOME!) and of course hoarding candy canes and tootsie rolls.

Here are a few pics, it was too cold to take many pictures.  I wish I had a picture of Ethan holding a blanket up for Owen and his buddies to shelter them from the wind coming off the river.  What a good Daddy he is!

Trying to keep Owen warm till the parade starts

I believe this is a "No pictures" look, I hope this stops, I would love to take some 3 year pictures of this handsome boy....yup he is 3....crazy, that is another post as well!

Buppa is always prepared!

Keeping warm with his best buddy.....love these 2!

Christmas in La Crescent Fun:

A little snack before the parade at the Firestation

Colin is the most curious baby.....peaking around Daddy to see what is going on

Like I said before, Owen really enjoys taking pictures.  We get ALOT of these types of photos

Again, mad about pictures.  I didn't even ask him to look at me, he just didn't want the camera pointed in his direction at all.  Love ya buddy!

Is that a smile I see?  Wow, he really is a happy kid, just not with a camera in his face.  I have taken a little break in taking so many photos of him.  I think having Colin around helps too

Canadian Express Holiday Train....it was MUCH warmer this year!

Christmas music played by a live band is the BEST!

Despite Owen being EXHAUSTED, he LOVED it again and didn't want to leave.

Colin pretty much slept the whole time.  It would have been hard to get him out of the stroller and carry him because he was SO bundled up, Think the little boy in the Christmas story that fell in the snow and couldn't get up!

Bad Blogger---Very Thankful!

Man, I am so behind.

Ethan bought me a new lap top for Christmas, I am having a hard time getting used to this GIGANTIC screen, my last laptop was really just for surfing the net.  It also has the new Windows 8 operating system, and this is going to take some getting used to, but I think it will actually be better for editing, and saving photos, we'll see...

Thanksgiving crafts and treats with friends.  Owen and his best buddy Landon made some turkeys and had a treat.  These 2 are so funny when they are together.  It is a lot of giggling and jumping around

Landon and his turkey

Owen LOVES cupcakes, these were some special turkey cupcakes

We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year, the weather was BEAUTIFUL!!!  We played outside a lot.  We are fortunate enough to have 2 Thanksgiving meals.  It was all very tasty

Owen has allways been a great help in the kitchen

Who doesn't love smores pie....it was AMAZING!  Thanks pinterest ;-)

Owen approves!

I don't have a picture of Punkin Webinger, but both of our 'Punkins' are wonderful cooks....we are so lucky to have them (especially around the holidays!)
Punkin Smith

Colin enjoyed his first Thanksgiving trying pumpkin pie, and searching the adds for the best Black Friday deals ;-)

This kid will eat ANYTHING!  I am having a blast with this....I'll fill you all in on that later.

making his list for Santa ;-)

Colin is busy while his brother is OUT COLD, all that playing with the Webinger family wore him out

Colin still looking for that perfect deal.....maybe he is looking for something for Owen?
