THANKFULL

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We sure have so much to be thankfull for this year.  We are celebrating our first Thanksgiving with Owen.  We have a wonderful family including many extended family members and friends.

Owen is 11 months old now....soon my baby will not be a baby anymore.  He is growing into such a neat little boy.  Here are his 9 month pictures...closer to 10 months though.  Sorry a little late, I just got a chance to upload them....enjoy!

Smiley Boy!

Sweet boy!

After babbling for the last couple of months, Owen crawled over to me and said "momma momma"  I was so excited to hear him actually say a word with purpose.  He now says it when he needs something.  It is so much fun watching him do new things!  He does babble "dah, dah, dah" we aren't sure if it is actually dad.

Owen and I have spent a lot of time together the past week.  Daddy has been out deer hunting.  He did shoot a doe, so it was all worth it.

Owen isn't quite walking yet, but he does walk pretty good around furniture and when he is pushing a toy.

Owen loves to brush his teeth like mommy too!
November is crazy birthday month for our family.  We celebrated Grandma Smith's and my brother's birthday on Saturday.  Since the boys were out hunting we stayed in and ordered chinese food.  Owen loved the pumpkin icecream cake that grandma made.

Hugs for grandma!

We surprise visited grandma at work on her birthday, she had to work till 9.  Owen helped her finish up on some important business ;-)

 Adam liked the cake too!

We have had crazy beautiful weather here this fall.  Owen and I spent lots of time playing in the yard and going for walks.   We are very lucky.  I really don't know what I am going to do with a little boy all winter that pulls off his hat and mittens, but gets bored inside....we'll have to see how much he likes snow!

My tired hunter!

Grandpa had the week off work for hunting....he stopped by to see Owen....(and talk hunting strategy with Ethan)

Biggie

We had to say good-bye to Sonny ("Biggie" as I called her) my families yellow lab on Friday.  It was a sad time for our family, but we were blessed to have her as long as we did.   As much as she loved people, she loved getting into trouble too.  And she had 14 wonderful years to do this in.

She was very patient with Owen since he has been moving around and we were very thankful for that.  He really liked her.  He loved to giggle at her.  Though she was a fantastic duck and pheasant hunter, she also liked to "hunt" for treats hidden in the house.  It won't seem like Christmas this year without her getting into a bag of rolos or eating those special christmas goodies.

giggles from Owen to Sonny....he LOVED Sonny.

A very supportive mommy (Nellie preggo)

A little bit of a trouble maker ;-)

Best buds!

A great hunter

Allways up for some snuggling

Sonny didn't mind getting dressed up.  Such a good sport

 She loved giving kisses.

She allways found the best seat in the house

We love you Sonny!

Mommy's little Monkey!

Owen's first Halloween was full of lots of fun.

We hadn't carved his pumpkins from Grandma & Grandpa's garden, so we were thrilled Saturday was so nice and we could sit in the yard and play.....apparently my little boy has a bit of a weak stomach when it comes to new smells.  Owen leaned over to look in the pumpkin, sat back, got a weird look on his face, gagged, and finally puked....,mom was of course there with camera in hand.  I thought maybe he wasn't feeling well, so we took him away from the pumpkin for awhile and sure enough he started gagging again as soon as he saw the pumpkin guts.

 feeling a little sick ;-)

icky, pumpkin!

he acutally liked the pumpkins after they were cleaned out and carved.

......sorry for that Owen!

Sunday we headed out to watch the Packer game with G&G Smith and then headed out to visit all Owen's biggest fans!

Trick or Treat!

GO PACK GO!

Great-Grandpa and Owen

Owen got a cute Monkey from Great-Grandpa and Grandma Engelhart....what a nice surprise!

Owen wanted to destroy their house.  It is the first time we have visited them at their house since Owen has been on the move.
