5 Year Anniversary

Ethan and I celebrated our 5th anniversary this year.  5 years doesn't seem that long ago, however our wedding day feels like a lifetime ago.  I know the best things that have happened to us in 5 years is the birth of our 2 beautiful boys.  I can't wait to see what the next 5 years brings us!  Love you Ethan!

Here are some pictures from our anniversary get a way.  We had such a fun and relaxing time.  I sure hope we don't wait 5 more years to take another trip alone ;-)

My handsome hubby!

We hiked everyday and it was so nice.
 We took pictures of eachother

And found someone to take a picture of us

We found lots of amazing views along our hikes

And ended the evenings cozy in our resort by the fire along the shore of Lake Superior.

Halloween

Wow, I have been a bad blogger!  There are lots of reasons, but mainly we have just been really busy and sometimes being stuck in front of my computer is a little boring ;-)  My camera has been hard at work though!

Halloween was a huge hit for Owen.  Owen wasn't scared of anything or anyone during the whole time.  Even the young man that was sitting on the steps of his parents house completely still with a mask on and a big bowl of candy next to him.  Owen went up to him and said "Hi" and "Thank-you for Chocoalte"  The kid ended up starting to laugh and couldn't stop.  Other kids the same age as Owen wouldn't come up to the steps, but nothing stops Owen from getting "Trick or treats!"

I had the day off of work and we were busy the whole day!  We started the day off with a party at the kids daycare.  Headed over to Punkin Smith's work, Visited All Great-Grandparents, and went trick or treating. We finished the evening with snuggles for Owen and a movie.

Owen found his best buddy, Landon "Woody"

Adam was in town and came by for some trick or treating fun

My two crazy Dinosaurs!

And they are off!

Owen asked every person if he could have 2.....of course they all said yes

"Roar!"

the boys

Colin fell asleep

Big Bird and Owen looking at the treats

Yummy

Thats a lot of candy Owen!  5% of the candy is gone......lots left to use for bribery.  Owen will tell us "Owen ate it all.....Get a trick or treat!"  When he finishes all his dinner, breakfast, or lunch.

Colin got a new toy from Punkin and Buppa Smith and he LOVED it.  He giggled so much.

Carving Pumpkins

We are happy to report that Owen not only did not puke/gag this year from the pumpkin smell, he was so excited to clean them out and carve them.  Colin thought the pumpkin guts and spoons to play with and were lots of fun.

My smiley little man!

Colin loves the feel of the pumpkins

Owen took his time to pick the perfect pumpkin to carve

Daddy and Owen working on the pumpkins

So proud of Owen for getting a little dirty!

Great job C!

Yummy squishy pumpkin guts!

"Punkin" even helped out

Nice looking pumpkin

Time for a little snooze for Colin.  It was a beautiful October day.  Love this picture of my mom.  She is a great mom and grandma.

.....and he wakes up!  Colin seems to like his binky these days.  Pretty much only around nap times or when he is super crabby.

My parents neighbor bought this hat for Colin, he looks so darn cute it in!

Pumpkins

Grandma (Punkin) and Grandpa (Buppa) Smith planted pumpkins again this year.  Owen has enjoyed watching them grow and especially enjoyed harvesting the pumpkins this year.

Best Buds

That is a funny looking pumpkin in the back ;-)

Buppa and Owen with the load of pumpkins!

So curious over the stems

My big helper!

I found this adorable flannel outfit for Colin, so we headed off to the side of the garden for a little photo shoot.   Every time I look at this picture I smile.  Colin continues to be such a smiley happy boy.

Another beautiful blue eyed boy

such a sweetie!

We did also carve the pumpkins, I'll have to get to that post in a bit.....and Halloween, but right now it is time for this mom to get to bed!  I have a new exercise plan, getting up before work/the boys waking up.  I am really not a morning person at all, but I have little to no energy by the time the boys go to bed at night.  I am on week 2 of getting up at 5:10 the days I work and 5:45 the days I am home and so far so good....it helps that I just hop on my elliptical inside and watch TV shows on my DVR.
