Christmas Morning

After a REALLY late night for all of us, we were very thankfull to sleep in Christmas morning and Owen didn't actually wake up till 8:30.  We will take advantage of this, I am sure in the future we may have a little boy waking us up at 5 am......however momma will not be getting up then!

Owen didn't really get that the presents under the tree were for him or that the stuff in his stocking were for him either.  The whole Santa thing is foreign to him.  Owen is not a morning person either (he takes after his mom in that one!)  Sorry Daddy!  After about an hour of letting Owen wake up, he was in the Christmas spirit.

such concentration!

Every little boy needs his own light saber....right?!  I wasn't too sure if he needed this, but Daddy wanted to get it, well daddy wanted to get the $40 one I thought that one was more like a weapon and reminded him about the baby coming in a couple of months, I think was did just fine.  Owen loves it!

Santa went to almost every store in La Crosse (last minute Christmas shopping!) to find play tools for Owen.  We really wanted something that looked like Daddy's because Owen loves daddy's things so much.....we finally found something and it was obviously a hit, because he didn't really want to play or open anything else after the drill.

Loves it!

Seeing your childs look of surprise is the BEST part of Christmas!

Someone has been watching Daddy?

Another use for that tool

Who cares about any more presents, Owen has a drill!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Part 1!

Christmas Eve was definitley bitter sweet for my family.  With Grandma and Kenny being gone this year the mood was a little less cheerfull.  It really is strange that Grandma was not there.  I forget sometimes that she is even gone.

Christmas Eve was still a very wonderful time, full of laughter, lots of hugs and smooches, and of course entertainment!  My cousin Kelley and her husband Mike purchased a new home and wanted to host the whole bunch (brave!  haha!)  They did a wonderful job and I know Owen loved running back and forth between 2 really big family rooms.

Everyone was so generous in giving Owen gifts, he sure is a loved little boy!

Here are some pics!

Merry Christmas!

We are loving Christmas this year!  Owen makes the season very fun.  I wish we had a little bit of snow though, but I am sure we will be having enough of that in the next few months.

We started off our Christmas celebrations this morning with Ethan's egg nogg pancakes with Grandma and Grandpa Webinger and Seth, they were delicious!  Owen enjoyed playing with everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Party Boy!

We had Owen's birthday party this past weekend......I can't believe it has been 2 years since Owen joined our family.  Owen really enjoyed his party this year, he didn't care for too much of anything birthday last year.

We had a tractor theme since Owen LOVES tractors and I went with green and yellow colors since his 2 grandpa's have John Deere lawn tractors which he LOVES to ride on!  Novemeber is the month of many birthdays for our family and Owen started to catch on about singing "happy birthday" and blowing out candles, so he was all set to go when we asked him if he wanted cake.  Mommy made homemade macaroni and cheese for the birthday boy too since this is his favorite food.

Who wants cake?  Owen does!

Birthday cutie pie!

more interested in the tractor on the cake then the candles

 Present time, someone is excited!

Taking his time!

testing out the new toy, Ethan has been going crazy wanting to give this to him for the past couple of weeks.....and it has been hard to hide it!

Towards the end of his party Owen walked over to where I was sitting with his sad face on (he gives me the sad face when he hasn't taken a nap.....he was a tired boy, but didn't go to bed until almost 8) Anyways, He walked over to me and crawled in my lap and I asked him if he had a good time at his party and he said "yeah!" and I asked him what his favorite part was and he said "cream." The boy loved his cake and ice cream ;-)

With no nap, Owen was pretty tired and rested on his new toy to watch his favorite movie "polar express"

Mommy and her big boy!  Love you kiddo

Owen was given so many wonderful gifts and was able to have most of his favorite people here to celebrate with him!  We look forward to seeing some other favorites this weekend and next weekend while celebrating Christmas.  What a lucky boy Owen is!  Mommy and Daddy are lucky too, thanks for all the help grandma's and grandpa's!

FYI-----Santa came early for Mommy bringing her a new camera last week.....bear with me as I try and learn how to use it!  She is pretty excited to learn though ;-)

Winter Wonderland

Another busy week in the Webinger house!

Owen and I decorated the Christmas Tree.  Daddy and him had put the lights on the night before along with the star which is really the highlight.  Owen put a couple of decoartions on the tree (his favorites are a black lab and yellow lab ornament which he calls Nellie and Lucy and they don't stay on the tree for too long.....he likes to pull them off and line them up on the table, his tractor ornament and a train ornament with his name on it).

Friday night we participated in the Christmas parade in town.  It was FREEEEEZING!  Owen was all ready to go with a battery operated candle to carry, but it was too cold for him (well atleast mom thought so) So, he sat in Grandpa and Grandma Smith's truck and watched the parade from there.  Mommy snuck in too before the end of the parade.....I was FREEEEEZING too!  Later that night (8:45), the Canadian Pacific Christmas Train was due to be in town.  We knew Owen would love it, but we were alittle worried about how late it was going to be.  We decieded to take him anyways.  And we are so glad we did.  Owen LOVED it.....when the train stopped he wanted to get on.  I think next year we are going to have to take him on the ride part.

Satruday we did a little Christmas shopping and Owen spent the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa Webinger.  I think they were all worn out by the time we picked him up!  Later that evening we cuddled in and watched Christmas shows.  Owen loves them all, especially the Polar Express, The Grinch, and Charlie Brown.  We also spend a lot of time building towers with blocks and running around the house......it is going to be a LONG winter.  However, Owen doesn't seem to mind the cold, snow, rain, or sleet.

snuggling with daddy after a long day of playing

This boy loves to have his picture taken.....sometimes.....here he is posing with his tower

Sunday was full of sledding, playing with Grandpa Smith, Packer game, and helping Grandma Smith make some Christmas goodies.  I can't believe Owen is not scared to sled at all.  In fact he loves it!  Ethan had to bribe him with a treat to come inside.  He even walks all the way back up the hill by himself.  We are really having a blast with him right now.
