Mellow Sunday Fun Day

After a busy Saturday we had a mellow Sunday staying around the house then heading to a park for a picnic dinner.  Owen loved having a picnic, looking at the boats and putting his feet in the water.  Colin was awake for a bit, but then took a pretty long snooze in the stroller.

If you noticed Owen did get a hair cut, which he has needed desperately.  Let's just say Sunday morning there was a little bit of haircuts and headlocks in the Webinger house.....man my little man is stubborn!

Birthday Fun

Well, since both the boys are still sleeping and it is almost 9 am.....I will catch up on some blogging!

We celebrated Grandpa Dan's birthday on Saturday.....We had a blast and Owen of course didn't want to leave their house.

Buddy photo shoot....early 4th of July

I was going to take pictures of both boys together this last weekend, but that didn't work out (Colin had a long day at daycare on Friday and was REALLY tired on Saturday).  Thankfully my friend Michelle and Owen's best buddy Landon were there and we got a bunch of pictures of the 2 of them.  The 2 boys are the best of friends and the Mommies are great friends too.  It is so fun to see our 2 boys together.

BEST mornings

The best mornings start with snuggles and cuddles in mommy and daddy's bed.

The best part about being a part-time home mommy is enjoying mornings with these boys.  Owen loves to crawl in bed with me and snuggle and talk to his brother.  My boys like to sleep in and today were not up till after 8 am, so on the days I work they are barely up before we have to take them to daycare.

BIG BOY!

Well My Mr. Owen has been working on going potty on and off for about a month.  We really haven't pressured him to do anything, but we showed him his potty and he did go pee on it once and we gave him some M&M's after he went.  He was most excited about flushing the toilet ;-)

Then Tuesday Owen woke up and told me he wanted to go potty and sure enough he did.  He didn't want to wear a diaper, but wanted to put on a pull-up and he went potty a few times.  Then today he again wanted nothing to do with his diapers or pull-ups and not only has gone on his potty independently and flushed but he also pooped!  Thank goodness he pooped in his potty, because he was running around naked and I was with Colin in our room when Owen came in and told me "Owen pooped, YAY!!!"  He was dancing around and all I could think of is "where did you poop?"

I know that talking about bathroom stuff is silly, but for a parent changing 2 kids diapers everyday this is pretty much a MIRACLE!!!  I know we are by no means fully potty trained, but man it feels good to be moving in the right direction!

Now what do you do when he have to go out in public?   ahhhhh!  He only wants to go on his potty chair, he doesn't want anything to do with the big toilet.  He told me at the pool Tuesday night that he had to go potty but when I showed him where he had to go he said "no."  He'll get there!

Weekend Fun

We had a fun weekend.

Owen went to his first movie in a theater and sat through the whole thing.....with a little help from some popcorn ;-)  Daddy and Owen went to Madagascar 3 and said it was good.  

Sunday was Father's Day and we celebrated in the morning with Daddy by making blueberry pancakes and sausage.  Owen surprised Daddy with a bird house he painted at Kim's.

Later in the afternoon we went to my Aunt's house to play in her pool and see my grandpa.  Owen has really taken to the water (totally like his mom).  He is very brave.  He is becoming my little fishy!

The only picture I got of my Dad on Father's Day.....with his newest little buddy!  Colin smiles SOOO much for him, it is so funny.  My Dad also has so much patience for Colin and Owen, he is a wonderful Grandpa and Father!

I was trying to take a couple shots of Colin last weekend.  I hadn't really planned on it, but the lightening on my aunt's deck next to her pool was great!  Anyways, I didn't get many because Colin was giving me a silly face and then I remembered today a little boy who also would give us the same face
