April Showers......

The rainy weekend kept Owen inside all weekend.  This is a first since the weather has gotten warmer.  Ethan and I did sneak a short walk with the girls while my mom and dad watched Owen.

Saturday afternoon Owen and Landon had a fun time playing with all Landon's toys.  Owen is really starting to notice him and try to copy what he is doing.....they are so darn cute!

Owen was sure checking Landon out.

Landon liked touching Owen's hair....Owen doesn't seem too sure about what is going on

The boy's little club house

Owen loves to read....yup he is still "baby genius!"

Owen sure has come a long way in just 4 short months.  It still amazes me how much he has changed from the day he was born and how much he will change in the next few months.  We had his 4 month well child check-up today and he is up to 15 pounds (50th percentile height and weight).  He continues to sleep through the night and takes 3-4 naps a day.  He also surprised me and rolled from his back to his stomach last week (he already rolls stomach to back).  He continues to roll onto his side, but hasn't done the full roll again (yet!)......time for baby proofing!

Nellie and Lucy are doing great.  They are still wonderful and patient with Owen.  Nellie's therapy continues to go well and she is using her leg a lot more.

Lunch with the girls & a picnic

Owen and I celebrated my Aunt Lisa's birthday.  It was pretty fun....Owen was a really good boy!

It was another great weather weekend.  We took Owen on a little picnic to the park and enjoyed some time outside walking around at my parent's house.  Overall it was a nice relaxing weekend.

Daddy testing out the baby Bjorn.

Owen's favorite thing is to stand up

Owen also still loves the swings

And my "big boy" is 4 months old today!

3 month professional pics

Here are some of my faves from Owen's 3 month photo shoot.  They were taken by Sarah Petersen (Sarah Schultz photography) at her home in Holmen, WI.  It was such a nice relaxing session.  Owen's big eyes were out in full force.

My sweet wide eyed boy

This is the closest Owen would get to a smile that day

He must have been excited about something

His licking face

He sure looks like he just has something to say......I wonder what it is!

Owen was not happy about taking pictures with his mom....already!

Nor did he want a kiss from me

It's Spring, but it feels like Summer

We are very happy that Owen enjoys being outside so much.  We spent last weekend enjoying lots of fresh air.

Ethan and Lucy were working on clearing some trees.

While mommy and Owen went for a walk with Grandma and Nellie.

What do you think Owen is thinking......maybe "Mom!  If you take one more picture I am going to punch you!"
oh, and Owen loves his new Star Wars onesie (Daddy and Aunt Leah love it too!)

We spent some time at the park and enjoy walks with Michelle and Landon.

getting ready....hurry up mom!

Ethan and my Dad are working on a new project of planting Strawberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries.  We are hoping next year we will be eating lots of yummy berries!

The boys hard at work

It was warm. but windy.  Grandma sure bundled up Owen.  He liked watching the big boys plant.

Easter Weekend

What a weekend!  We spent Easter weekend visiting with the Luebke's and Bloomfield's and their families.  It was really nice to see them, since they haven't been able to see Owen since he was born.  Owen got tons of attention from everyone and by Sunday night he was exhausted.

Sarah and Karl enjoying some time with Owen

Owen sure is loved!

Grandpa and Owen

Owen loves to look at books, he is enjoying some reading while getting a little tummy time

Kerry with Owen (I think they are talking about playing Euchre!)

Daddy and I colored Easter eggs with Owen.  He found it pretty amusing, until he had to take a break and nap

My little bunny all rested after his nap

Owen took in his first sporting event this weekend.  Uncle Seth was in an alumni basketball tournament.  He found the game pretty amusing and loved all the action.  I think he has a future with Lancer athletics!

Owen found his easter basket!  It took him awhile ;-)  He was pretty excited about it.

I love my boys!

Such a handsome boy in his "big boy" outfit!

Sunday night Grandma came home!  YEAH!  She was in Florida with her sisters and mom, they had a wonderful time taking in lots of time on the beach and hanging out just the girls.  We are happy she made it home safe.  She sure missed her little boy.  Here is a pic of Grandma and Owen, he was pretty much exhausted, so he wouldn't sit alone next to his easter basket that grandma and grandpa got for him. (sorry mom I know your hair is a little crazy from traveling, but it is really cute!)

We have officially moved Owen out of his bassinet in our room to his crib.  He of course had made the transition like a champ.  He continues to sleep through the night.  He is starting to become a better napper too.  I couldn't ask for a better baby!

Nellie is progressing great with her rehab, she began to put some weight on her leg over the weekend.  We are going to start taking her for short 5 minute walks this week.  On the warmer weather days we plan to take her swimming as well, since this seems to be the best for her.

Good-Bye Baby Mullet

We finally broke down and trimmed Owen's hair.  I was a little nervous to cut it, but we could almost put Owen's hair in a pony tail.  I couldn't trim around his ears.  I was afraid I would cut him.

Here is a before of Owen's mess of hair

Daddy ready for the big trim!

Who would have ever thought it would be pushing 80 degrees in March?  Well, Owen and I have sure taken advantage of the beautiful weather.  Owen LOVES his stroller and looking around at the world.  Thanks to Daddy, and Michelle and Landon for joining us.  We also tested out the swings at the park.  Owen needs a little added cushion in the swing, but he seems to enjoy it.

Owen has been a little cranky lately.  He doesn't like to sit back anymore, so we brought out the Jumperoo, even though he is a little short, some phone books/blankets help.

Our little Nellie girl is doing really well.  We took her soft cast off and she is able to move around a little easier.  She no longer requires pain medication.  She hasn't put any weight on her leg yet, but she no longer fights the icing/stretching exercises we have to do.  The staples will come out next week

A little late, but Happy 3 months to my little "Diddy!"

Mommy's new favorite things that you do, Giggle!  So cute!
