We headed to to zoo for the day early in September.....We went during the week so there wasn't as many people around which was nice since Owen was all over the place. We had a really nice time. Last year we went to the zoo in the summer and the animals were all hot and weren't moving around, some of them we didn't even get to see. But going in the fall is great because the animals are actually moving around.
I didn't get a picture of it, but Owen was walking near the "wolves den" and a larger wolf walked right up to Owen and nip/growled right against the glass......Owen didn't freak out much, but he did jump back. As the wolf was walking over, Ethan and I were saying how mean we thought it looked....it spooked us a bit along with some other zoo attendees.

The BEST part was these silly penguins. Owen spent a long time playing with them....we had to go back twice during the day for more!
